Philip Edwards has been enthusiastically involved in the Garden Design and Landscape industry for over 20 years. He began working in the industry as a landscaper with a family run business in Sussex. To consolidate his experience he attended Merrist Wood Agricultural College in 1987 on a fulltime programme where he gained a certificate in landscape construction. He learnt his design skills in his first job.

In 1996 he decided to set up his own garden design and construction business. He focuses on designing and where the client wishes constructs private gardens. Philip works closely with clients to assess their needs and to provide high quality design, and specification of materials.

Philip enjoys designing for all types of gardens, from courtyards to large estates, from contemporary to historic gardens, family gardens to retirement gardens, from new build to listed properties. He is able to translate his experience and knowledge of planting schemes and both soft and hard construction together with the specific soil and climate conditions to fulfil clients wishes for their gardens.

Philip specialises in flowering shrubs and trees. He offers a specialist pruning service as well as maintenance for the gardens he designs and builds. 

More recently projects have included gardens for buy to let properties and second homes.
